The process of root canal treatment:
At Howick Dental Surgery, we provide a customized consultation for root canal treatment. We ensure it is the right treatment and deliver you a painless after effect. The treatment requires one or more visits for the root canal treatment. Our dentists clean the tooth and remove any infected tissue, wash the infected tooth with a sterilizing solution and then seal it up with a filling material, so that it does not get re-infected. Tooth is then filled with permanent filling. However, if your tooth decay is extensive, our dentists may recommend a crown for restoring the tooth. The tooth is capped/crowned so to strengthen the tooth structure which has been weakened by the decay. This process of crowning increases the longevity of the tooth and enable it to bear the heavy biting forces.
